Directors are elected to a 3 year term. The Board of Directors elect the officers at the October Board meeting. Officers serve for one year terms in that office, but can and often are reelected to serve another term in that office.

The President of the Balloon Federation of America is charged with the tasks of managing the operations of the organization, overseeing the staff, and directing the Board.
